As a certified interview coach, typically I conclude my resume meetings with a couple of questions, "Why should I hire you? What distinguishes you from other candidates?" The majority of answers are general, "Because I have great organizational skills. I am a hard worker. I have great communication skills." These responses are too general. Any number of people could cite an almost identical answer.
During an interview your response should be more specific and should address the value you will bring to the company. For example, if you streamlined procedures and saved your company money, a response could be: "In my current job I saved overtime dollars by streamlining procedures, and I can do the same for you!"
