Where are people finding jobs?

About a month ago, I created a poll on two St. Cloud area LinkedIn Groups (and also on my business Facebook page) asking, “In your current or most recent job, how did you find out about the job opening?” There were 21 people who responded, and here were the results:

Networking: 38%
Social Media (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) 0%
Job Board (Monster, CareerBuilder, etc.) 38%
Company Website: 5%
Other (not specified): 19%

The purpose of this poll was to find out where people in Central Minnesota are finding jobs, and while the response rate was low, I found it interesting that nobody had found a job through social media sources ... especially with the upsurge in social media activity in the past few years.
